Become a Hospice Volunteer

Thank you for expressing interest in becoming a Hospice Volunteer for LifeSpring Home Care! We appreciate your desire to make a difference in the lives of our hospice patients and their families. See below for the requirements and the steps to becoming a volunteer.  

Eligibility Requirements: 

1. A Desire to enhance the lives of others 
2. 16 years or older 
3. Must be able to pass a background check 
4. Access to reliable transportation with corresponding auto insurance

Steps to Becoming a Volunteer  
Step 1 
Complete an application (online, via email or stop by the office).  Once received and reviewed our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to set up a face-to-face interview (in person or on zoom). Our Volunteer Coordinator will discuss service opportunities and requirements (such as taking a TB test if you plan on being around patients). You can ask questions and offer your insights to determine what kind of volunteering would be the best fit for you.  

Step 2 
Complete a background check and set up a time for onboarding.  

Step 3  
Onboarding Day!  Our volunteer coordinator will walk with you step by step as you take a photo for a badge, go over paperwork and watch a volunteer training video, and a time for fingerprinting will be scheduled for this day. Onboarding can take several hours to complete, so please plan accordingly. 

Step 4 
Set up your volunteer schedule and start doing some good!
